Art Inspirations
KinderKid Art is free and expressive. The little plasticene sunflower pictures at the top and right of this page, were constructed while growing and caring for sunflowers, harvesting seeds, roasting and eating them, drawing sunflowers, painting sunflowers and having a close look at Van Gogh's sunflowers. The children had the opportunity to work with many different clays on a daily basis and so constructing these wee replications of Van Gogh's were a joyful experience for all. If one only looked to the product, however, it would be difficult to know just how much of a process was taking place.
